January 23 - 25 Noah Levine
Finding Freedom

In the Buddhist tradition of uncovering the heart’s natural qualities of Wisdom and Compassion through meditation, this weekend workshop focuses on mindfulness and loving kindness practice that allow us to access the freedom we seek from within. We will learn to develop a greater sense of care for ourselves and for our world through the revolutionary spiritual practices of the Buddha.

You will discover how true spiritual practice is an engagement with life that goes against the norms of our confused society and is therefore an act of rebellion. Instructions in meditation and guidance in the subversive Buddhist path to liberation will be offered.

This retreat is suitable for beginning and long-term practitioners. Youth, families, social workers, activists and revolutionaries are encouraged to attend.

Noah Levine, author of Dharma Punx and Against The Stream, is a Buddhist teacher, author and counselor. He is trained by Jack Kornfield of Spirit Rock Meditation Center. He teaches meditation classes, workshops and retreats nationally as well as leading groups in juvenile halls and prisons. Noah holds a masters degree in counseling psychology from CIIS. He has studied with many prominent teachers in both the Theravadan and Mahayanan Buddhist traditions. He lives in Los Angeles.
