The Tao of Yoga: Yin Yoga Teacher Training and Immersion
Join Yin Yoga instructor Uma Kleppinger in an immersion into the art and science of Taoist yoga, with a specific emphasis on Yin Yoga. This residential week-long course is designed to explore both the philosophical foundation of Taoist yoga and the unique physical approach of this form. Excellent for serious students of yin yoga, meditators and teachers who wish to expand their practice to include yin yoga. The retreat sessions will be video taped, providing a lasting reference for future practice and reference. This program will provide continuing education hours that meet Yoga Alliance standards, providing certain prerequisites are met. However, the program is also open to those who simply wish to experience a week-long immersion in yin yoga and meditation.
Uma Kleppinger was called to teach yoga as a path to personal transformation in 1995. Known for her clear, direct method of transmitting yoga instruction, Uma encourages a sense of wonder and curiosity in practice. She is trained in Iyengar, Classical Ashtanga, Anusara, Hatha and Yin Yoga, and draws inspiration from other physical arts. Uma’s love of the mystical traditions of the world, meditation and East-West psychology also inform her practice.
