Soak, steam, relax, dream and gather with other women in the splendor of the Autumn Cascades. Choose from either of the excellent workshops offered or come for personal retreat. Silent bathing and meal options are offered as well as daily programs tailored to the deepening peace of the season. Please, no children under 16. (Male staff members may be present in work areas.)

A Vipassana Retreat for Women
In stillness and in movement, in silence and in sounding, we explore our true nature each present moment. There will be invitations for sitting, walking, and movement meditation, both silent and guided. The retreat will be held primarily in silence, with generous personal time, as well as dharma talks and opportunities for group sharing. The relaxed meditation schedule will include silent bathing hours.
Julie Wester has been a practitioner of Vipassana meditation since 1973, and has led Vipassana retreats for women at Breitenbush since 1985. Her teaching, including guided movement and sensory exploration, reflects her training with Ruth Denison of the U Ba Khin lineage. She is a member of the Guiding Teacher’s Council at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in California.

Women’s Renewal Weekend
Enjoy a rejuvenating weekend of self-renewal in communion with other women. Take a needed weekend just for yourself! Practice relaxation, self-awareness and stress reduction. We’ll share yoga, breathing techniques, deep relaxation, meditation, partner massage, restful silence, eating awareness, and expressive movement. Limited to 20 women, this workshop is appropriate for both new and experienced yoga and meditation students. Please bring a favorite picture of yourself and a sacred object.
Shan Ambika, MA, has been a certified yoga and meditation instructor and group facilitator for over 30 years. She founded the Yoga Studio and Breathe! Stress Management Seminars in Eugene, Oregon. She is a student of many of the world’s leading yoga, meditation and spiritual teachers.
